Commodities costs

The spread is our charge for executing your trade. It’s the difference between the buy and sell price, which we wrap around the underlying market price.

OIL – BRENT CRUDE62.8

The charge will vary depending on whether you trade futures or our undated contracts. Futures have a wider spread, but no overnight funding charges – so are more cost-effective for longer-term trades. Learn more about our spreads

CFDs are leveraged, which means you can gain full exposure for the fraction of the cost. The deposit you pay to open a position is called margin. Although it’s not an additional cost to you, it can make a big difference to the affordability of your trade.

Remember, leverage can magnify your losses, as well as magnify any profits.
